Meet Gloria: Registered Massage Therapist
Gloria’s journey into massage therapy began over 10 years ago after completing a BSc in Neuroanatomy from the University of Otago in New Zealand. While working in the cherry orchards there, she discovered firsthand how manual therapy helped her fellow cherry pickers manage the physical demands of the strenuous labour of the job and support their recovery. This experience sparked a lasting passion for massage, as she went on to travel the world to work various physical labour jobs where her treatment was once again welcomed by coworkers. She continued to develop her skills and knowledge and ultimately turned her passion into a career, completing the Registered Massage Therapy program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.
Gloria takes an evidence-informed, individualized approach to treatment and readily utilizes techniques of Myofascial Release, General Swedish Relaxation Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, TMJ intraoral massage, foot massage, and more. Her goal is to create a welcoming and collaborative treatment experience where each client’s needs, comfort, and goals guide the treatment plan.
Now beginning a new chapter in Kelowna, Gloria looks forward to connecting with the local community and helping her clients move, feel, and live more vibrantly.
